«Anemone (wind flower)»

A crimson-pink anemone against a charcoal-black background — a dramatic contrast that makes the flower literally glow. The blue pollen center adds an unexpected cool accent to the sea of warm tones. If you look up its meaning, the anemone (windflower) is one of the most multifaceted and emotionally deep symbols. Translated from Greek, the name of the flower means “daughter of the wind,” and depending on the context of the bouquet its key meanings are sincerity, anticipation (waiting for change), tenderness, and protection from adversity.
This painting was created during my formal art studies.
